About Rareform


Rareform is a boutique music agency, specializing in marketing, digital, DSP, and release strategy. Working directly with artist teams, including independent managers, labels, and distributors, we help to maximize single, album, and EP releases with a focus on artist development and growth. 

Rareform is the brainchild of two music industry veterans with more than 30 years combined music industry experience, having worked at major distributors, independent record labels, and artist management companies.

Senior Digital Advertising Strategist

As the Senior Digital Advertising Strategist, you will lead digital media buying efforts across the US and international markets. In this role you will develop and implement paid media strategies and manage digital advertising campaigns on various platforms while optimizing performance in real-time. Your responsibilities will also include: overseeing accounts, all digital advertising systems, and key relationships; managing the digital advertising team; while collaborating closely with the internal Rareform team to effectively target audiences, enhance ad creative effectiveness, and deliver measurable outcomes.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and implement dynamic advertising strategies for album campaigns, CRM strategies, tour marketing campaigns, and D2C strategies with the ability to scale virality through fast implementation.

  • Analyze industry trends, audience insights, new technologies, and performance marketing best practices to recognize opportunities and meet goals.

  • Monitor and assess key campaign performance metrics, including click-through rates and ROI, while providing insights and recommendations to clients.

  • Utilize A/B testing to enhance performance and optimize campaign components.

  • Collaborate with the wider digital and marketing teams for strategic planning and execution while working closely with management teams, artists, labels, and creative teams.

  • Reconcile budgets with the business management team on a monthly basis.


Who You Are:

  • Demonstrate expertise in digital media buying as it pertains to the music industry.

  • Expert-level campaign management and execution on Meta, Instagram, TikTok, Google Ads, and YouTube with a quick ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.

  • Comprehensive understanding of attribution models, conversion tracking, and digital advertising best practices with a strong analytical mindset to evaluate performance metrics and recommend optimizations.

  • Exceptional project management skills to ensure campaign delivery is timely and within budget.

  • Experience working alongside cross-functional teams in a remote setting. 

  • Genuine enthusiasm for the music industry and the ability to identify and connect with target audiences for artists and releases.

  • Proactive in keeping up with digital advertising trends and applying creative strategies.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, adapting to shifting priorities and strategies.

  • Creative problem solver who provides fresh ideas and innovative solutions to challenges.


What You Offer:

  • 3-5+ years experience working in a boutique or small business handling digital advertising campaigns. 

  • An understanding of the music industry and album release timelines/ marketing plans.  

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of balancing multiple projects concurrently.

  • Extremely detail-oriented, with an eye for quality and a commitment to generating error-free work.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Takes direction well and is not afraid to ask questions but is self-motivated with the ability to manage their own workload.

Nice To Haves:

  • Comfortable with Google Suite (Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc) and experience with project management platforms such as Trello. 

  • Ability to analyze streaming and audience data and synthesize actionable insights that influence decisions for advertising strategy for album release and marketing campaigns. 

  • Familiarity with digital music platforms and services (YouTube, Spotify, Apple, Pandora, Amazon Music, etc.)
